Overview

The Self-Support Portable Distributed Refueling System (SPDRS) is being requested by USMC Systems Command, Program Manager Engineer Systems (MCSC PMES) Fuel & Water Team. Previous solutions within this design space include the “small” and “medium” capacity variants of the Ground Expedient Refueling System (GERS), which SPDRS is intended to replace. The current GERS system is no longer supportable and the USMC does not have a replacement system to provide Marine units and isolated sites with the means to extend the range and operating time of vehicles, equipment, and weapon systems, without having to rely upon large-scale fuel farm solutions.
