Overview

The objective of this prototype project is to develop methods to stimulate vehicle protection sensors (e.g. passive electro-optical infrared (EOIR), active radar) with data generated in the Virtual Battlespace Environment (VBE) in real-time. The VBE is currently capable of generating environmental data in the visible, mid-wave infrared (MWIR), and long-wave infrared (LWIR) spectrums. Position data of entities in the simulation (including threats) can also be pulled out in real-time, allowing for tracking of entities in the simulation (can be used to support crude radar data injection). The fidelity of data available is expected to increase based on forecasted upgrades to the VBE.
