Overview

The Government is seeking proposals to develop prototype systems that can collect, store, transmit, analyze and associate characteristic information regarding all up rounds and sub components from time of assembly to time of firing or download. Initial data population should support either manual or automated means. Collected data may include initial data, sensor data collected in real time relating to environmental exposure of the munition or group of munitions and chemical changes of components of the munition itself, and manually entered data during each transfer operation. Data will be automatically transferred to the system or entered manually as the components are configured into an all up round and as the all up round is transferred from one indexed storage location to another indexed storage location or to an indexed location on a weapon system and shall be associated specifically with a single all up round. Furthermore, analysis shall be accomplished on an overlying software system providing enhanced knowledge of munition systems (performance, safety, reliability) by leveraging existing sparse data sets through onboard machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide information for proactive last tactical mile munition stockpile management.
