Overview

The objective of this project is to perform structural strength, vehicle crossing, and fatigue testing of a dry gap commercial system and assess the system capability against LOCB requirements. Data collected during structural strength, vehicle crossing, and fatigue testing will be used to assess the technical feasibility and military utility of commercial systems and their ability to meet the 36,000 normal crossings requirement at increased MLC loads (e.g. HETS and Abrams).

The Due Date for RPP-18-1 Line of Communication Bridge (LOCB) has been extended to Wednesday, December 20th, 2017.

Request for Prototype Proposals

This RPP is intended to solicit proposals (anticipated to be Firm Fixed Price (FFP)) for research and development of a bridging system that meets Line of Communication Bridge (LOCB) requirements and to verify that system meets structural strength and fatigue under high Military Load Class (MLC) loads (e.g. HETS and Abrams) per LOCB requirements.

Site Visits for LOCB

The United States Government (USG) will be providing the opportunity for interested vendors to attend a site visit in support of the anticipated Line of Communication Bridge (LOCB) RPP release.
