Overview

The Squad Multipurpose Equipment Transport (SMET) program objective will have a multi-phased approach. Phase I will produce a SMET prototype system. The government will evaluate the mission effectiveness of currently available ‘Unmanned’ and ‘Optionally Manned’ systems. This evaluation will allow the Government to gather sufficient information to make an informed decision on the best designs in which to invest further time and funds. After the Phase I Assessment, a down-select will occur; the remaining participants will deliver four (4) systems. Three (3) systems will be delivered to Aberdeen Test Center (ATC), and one (1) system would be delivered to Product Manager Applique and Large Unmanned Ground Systems (PdM ALUGS), in support of Government Testing.
