Overview

The objective of this effort is to mature the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) level of the 6T Li-ion battery to an MRL 8 to position the lead acid 6T drop-in replacement battery for product insertion onto the Army ground vehicle fleet. The project will focus effort on the setup of a prototype pilot manufacturing line for feasibility testing, developing new methods for driving down manufacturing costs, and identifying potential improvements to product performance to position the 6T Li-ion battery as a viable technology for the Army ground vehicle fleet.

REVISION 1: RPP-14

Revision 1 of the RPP and SOW has been released, which now allow for both Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP).

Due Date Extended

The due date for RPP-14 has been extended to May 19, 2017.

RPP-14 Released

This Request for Project Proposals (Under GVS OTA) W15QKN-14-9-1002-RPP14 is issued to solicit proposals in support of Ground Vehicle Systems research and development related to High Volume Automated Manufacturing for Military 6T Li-ion Batteries.

Intent to Announce

The Government intends on issuing RPP-14 under the GVS OTA/NAMC.   This RPP will include one (1) project of interest:  High Volume Automated Manufacturing for Military 6TLi-ion Batteries.
