Sectionalized Heavy Grader

TARDECs Force Projection Technology business area is interested in enhancing the capabilities of our fleet of Heavy Graders. This includes satisfying the Heavy Grader Type II requirement for Air Assault capability described in the Grader, Motorized Capability Production Document (CPD) CARDS 06039. The contractor shall provide solid model computer concepts and prototype hardware that will enhance capability for the 120M Motor Grader. The platform shall be the Army’s current 120M model manufactured by Caterpillar. The current system will need to be sectionalized to meet Helicopter Sling Load (HLS) requirements listed in MIL-STD-913A. The system shall be capable of reassembly and become fully operation to complete an Air Assault mission. The success of this program will be determined by how successful this enhancement proves itself in an Air Assault scenario.
