Operational Improvement of the Rough Terrain Container Handler

The Government is interested in incorporating technology enhancements that will improve operational performance and safety of the military RT 240 rough terrain container handler (RTCH). Examples of these enhancements would be operator visibility and awareness, proximity indicators, and improved maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities. The contractor shall prepare and deliver to the Government a report with a prioritized list of enhancements and capabilities that could be incorporated or replaced into the RT 240 RTCH. The report shall detail any insertions that would provide an increased performance capability to the RTCH. This RTCH shall constitute a modernized prototype that will undergo a series of tests selected by the Government and the contractor from the list in Section 4 of ATPD 2215A. See the Reference Materials section of BIDS for ATPD-2215A. The success of this program will be determined by how successful these enhancements prove themselves in these performance scenarios.
