Overview

TARDEC Ground Systems Survivability (GSS) Interior Blast Mitigation Technologies (IBMT) is interested in the development and delivery of a modular and interchangeable flooring solution for the Crew Compartment Underbody Blast Simulator (CCUBS) in order to evaluate multi-axis inputs to ground vehicle blast seats. The CCUBS can accept multiple seat mounting configurations and simulate multi-axis inputs to ground vehicle blast seats, up to four seats at a time, and simulates the z-axis inputs involved in blast events; in an actual event, there are forces input from various directions. The flooring solution should translate the single axis force input into the system into a multi-axis force at the seat.
