Improved Stabilization of Ingress-Egress Points on Roads, Airstrips and Bridges

TARDECs Force Projection Technology business area is interested in providing a capability to rapidly improve the ingress and egress points of various locations used for Force Projection. The capability should provide a method to rapidly improve areas which are prone to soft soil (high sand content), high moisture and temperature ranges from 0 to 120F. These areas include beach, road, runway and bridge locations. The proposed system that will provide the capability should be able to traverse these areas without assistance from other vehicles while providing the mechanism for stabilizing the soil. The stabilized points should be sufficient to allow the crossing of military tactical wheel vehicle systems for up to 15 days. The prototypes will be used to determine effectiveness for demonstration purposes and testing of the soil stabilization capability.
