Overview

The Tank Automotive Research, Development, and Engineering Center (TARDEC), Ground System Survivability (GSS) area has an upcoming program entitled, Optical Sensor Protection from High-Energy Lasers. The goal of the program is to understand the effects of high-energy lasers (HELs) upon combat vehicle day-channel optical systems (optics, structures, and day camera sensors) and to develop mitigation technologies for lasers of that category.

Good Idea Submission Phase

Prior to the start of the FY17 Annual Plan, the Defense Mobility Enterprise (DME) will open its BAA Information Delivery System (BIDS) site from 3 AUG 2015 - 28 AUG 2015 to allow for NAMC members to submit their “Good Ideas” to the Government.
