Overview

The Government is seeking proposals on equipment to stimulate the launcher track channel in the Softkill Integration Cell, in particular a simulated missile beacon, in support of ground combat system survivability and Active Protection System (APS). This simulated missile beacon that will be developed and delivered through performance of this project must emulate both the dynamically evolving optical (spectral/spatial) signature of the beacon source, as well as the commanded missile fly-out trajectory within the field of view of the launcher. A satisfactory beacon source simulator will be capable of combining and synchronizing these two aspects of optical stimulation, as presented to the launcher. As the intent of the laboratory cell is to evaluate the performance of multiple Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) threats, a modular simulator design allowing independent control and substitution of beacon signature elements is required.
