Member Spotlight | 20 February 2023

In an effort to raise awareness to NAMC member capabilities within the consortium, NAMC launched the member spotlight last year, showcasing an organization from the capability areas identified via the GVS OTA.

Moving forward, we will do a standalone company spotlight twice a month. With over 500+ members, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and submit your company's information via the link below. There are a lot of exciting projects this fiscal year, and the spotlights help raise awareness to your company capabilities.

Q: What is something unique about your product or service?

A: Parry Labs develops an innovative and highly adaptable suite of mission computing systems that applies modern cloud software architectures at the tactical edge to enable repeated rapid capability insertion, while maintaining cybersecurity and system safety certifications. Parry’s Stellar Relay provides sever-class processing and throughput capabilities in flexible, low size, weight, and power ruggedized form factors.

Parry Labs' open architecture and software defined networking capabilities enable improved network gateway functions, radio cross-banding, Link 16, APNT solution hosting, and other capabilities for multi-domain operations.

Engineered from the ground up to protect airworthiness and security boundaries, Stellar Relay leverages containerization modern digital engineering concepts, modeling & simulation, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver capabilities at the speed of need.

Q: What capability gaps are you able to fill and which industry colleagues would you like to know about them?

A: Parry Labs enables operations at digital speed, turning costly, time-consuming deployment cycles into near push-button updates, enabling new capabilities to deploy safely and securely on mission-critical systems.

We provide open architecture-compliant software architectures and high-performance hardware solutions that are vendor agnostic, so we can work with the “best of breed” to develop optimal solutions for a wide variety of customers and truly deliver a plug and play ecosystem.

Q: How did your organization originate?

A: Parry started with a focus on Radio Frequency engineering, but when the company saw that the DoD struggled to acquire modern software and replace marquee platforms, it knew it needed to pivot to mission computing. There was a need for a software solution to maintain critical advantage against adversaries, and that software had to be containerized in a small form factor hardware, so that platforms and vehicles did not need to be reconfigured—costing time and money.

By combining open software and mission proven hardware, Parry developed a common architecture that’s more integrated, more agile and designed for the speed of modern warfare as a solution. Our digital engineering and modular open systems architecture approach allows the government easier upgrades that advance overall capability and provide a solution that supports highly resilient communications for improved decision-making accuracy.
