Q: What is something unique about your product or service?
A: For nearly a century HDT has provided integrated Expeditionary, Platform and Unmanned Solutions for our armed forces. With 12 plants covering East to West and North to South, including in the states of Washington, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Alabama, HDT's production capacity is robust, agile and scalable.
EXPEDITIONARY SYSTEMS. HDT’s field-proven integrated basecamp solutions are the result of innovative engineering and the highest-quality product manufacturing. Designed for rapid set-up and strike, while taking into consideration all facets of troop comfort in expeditionary environments, HDT is the only supplier who designs and manufactures all of the components required to build a complete solution. Our basecamp systems offer flexibility and customization (transportability; reliability in harsh environments; energy efficiency).
PLATFORM SYSTEMS. HDT most notable platform system deployed by the U.S. Air Force, is our Transporter Erector Replacement Program (TERP) . HDT's collection of platform systems include Missile/Transport Trailers; Ground Control Stations; Deployable Mission Rehearsal Trainers, Containerized Weapons Systems, Aerospace Ground Equipment, Combat Vehicle Systems, XCP Systems, and CBRN Systems.
Q: Which Government Customer would you like to pitch your organization to?
A: We would like to expand our footprint across all armed services (Army, Air Force, USMC), agencies providing relief and disaster support in the Ukraine, Turkiye, Yemen, etc., including DoD and USAID, as well as agencies such as the DHS-CBP, and the Department of Energy.
Q: What are you most proud of?
A: At its core, HDT is an engineering powerhouse. HDT has leveraged its innovative team of over 150 engineers to establish the Battle Lab and Advanced Development Engineering (BLADE) Center of Excellence, located just south of the DC metropolitan area.
ROBOTICS. HDT designs, engineers, and manufactures advanced robotic systems used in military, commercial, healthcare and underwater applications.
Our Adroit® manipulators and actuators provide unmatched dexterity, speed, and strength using compact, lightweight, modular components. HDT’s mobile robotic vehicles increase mission performance and save lives. Our medical robotics help stroke patients recover their mobility. And HDT created the world’s most advanced upper limb prosthesis for DARPA – a replacement arm, controlled by a patient’s thoughts – that nearly matches human strength, speed, and dexterity.
