Member Spotlight | 5 October 2022

In an effort to raise awareness to NAMC member capabilities within the consortium, NAMC launched the member spotlight last year, showcasing an organization from the capability areas identified via the GVS OTA.

Moving forward, we will do a standalone company spotlight twice a month. With over 500+ members, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and submit your company's information via the link below. There are a lot of exciting projects this fiscal year, and the spotlights help raise awareness to your company capabilities.

Q: What do you consider your organization’s differentiator?

A: DDC plays an important role within the US Army’s MAPS program. Many companies seeking to achieve MAF compliance have engaged DDC for assistance in integrating our FPGA-based AVB IP core with their product.

DDC is the only company with an FPGA-based AVB IP core that has undergone the rigorous AVNU certification process. Key to the success of the MAPS program is ensuring interoperability perfection, at the moment of truth. By integrating with a certified AVB IP Core, MAPS companies are taking strong steps towards eliminating interoperability worries.

As a full offering, engineering consulting and manufacturing firm with an experienced, tenured engineering staff having deep, working knowledge of AVB, DDC is the provider of choice for all MAPS companies desiring to not only speed their time-to-MAF compliance, but also for AVNU certification of their AVB equipped products.

Q: What do you want other NAMC Members to know about you?

A: DDC is a full offering engineering consulting and manufacturing firm that provides hardware and software consulting services, along with a large library of IP with expertise in three main areas:

  1. Video & Image Processing - Our expertise includes everything from sensor to display as well as Image Signal Processing, Video and Image Correction, Enhancement, Fusion, Stabilization and many others. Our VAADR (Video and Advanced Data Recorders) are FPGA-based data recorders utilized in Air-to-Ground Imaging in fighter jets and surveillance aircrafts.
  2. Networking - Our expertise includes Audio, Video, Control & Sensing over networks including IoT, VoIP, AVB Protocols/Stacks, Interfacing, etc. Our AVNU Certified FPGA-based AVB IP Core has been selected and deployed by and within the US Army’s MAPS program.
  3. Communications - Our expertise has provided successful Digital Radio Projects and includes Modulators, demodulators, FEC, DSP, encryption and interfaces. We have a core group of team members that are former Motorola Cellular employees.

Q: What capability gaps are you able to fill and which industry colleagues would you like to know about them?

A: Along with Video & Image Processing, Networking, and Communications expertise, DDC engineers are experts at hardware acceleration and embedded computing - especially as relates to FPGAs.

DDC is available to assist all COI members with their projects. Whether it's integration of our AVB IP Core within your system, or design and layout of a custom PCB for a certain application, let us help you speed your time to completion.

DDC turn-key project experience is wide ranging and includes everything from concept to production, such as: system architecture, chip design, board design, embedded software design, application software design, system modeling, image processing lineups, testing, certification, design for-manufacturing, prototype creation, and production.
