Q: How did your organization originate?

A: When our founder and CEO, Paul Fleck, was working full-time at another company, he delved into side projects and discovered his passion for robotics and the automotive industry. After he realized that he couldn't pursue these interests at his current job, he decided to start his own company. Dataspeed was formed and initially provided engineering services in a variety of areas where they could add value to the customer. However, as time went on, Dataspeed narrowed its focus to robotics and more specifically, autonomous vehicles.

A: Dataspeed’s Drive-by-Wire Kit (DBW) is a complete hardware and software system that allows seamless electronic control of a vehicle’s brake, throttle, steering, and shifting to enable testing for autonomous vehicle applications.
