Overview

The Integrated Systems Engineering Framework (ISEF) is a set of interconnected web-tools that enable systems engineering process throughout the product lifecycle and is used to support ground vehicle programs of record. Currently, ISEF tools require a full system admin to 1) allocate a user to an existing user group; 2) manage public registries (data schemas that customize a tool for a specific user’s needs. ISEF scalability could be greatly improved if roles were added to the tool that allowed users other than full system admins to execute these tasks; 3) ability to mark data within ISEF as “distribution A,” allowing anyone with a tool to see it without explicitly needing to give access to it through user or group access rights. Adding this capability would increase ISEF’s ability to foster collaboration by facilitating the tracing of requirements to higher level Distribution A documents and Mil-Standards. The Government is seeking design and development of a virtual model prototype to demonstrate technical feasibility of the 3 upgrades referenced above to enhance ISEF scalability. Enhanced ISEF scalability would enable ISEF to have improved utilization across distributed teams with minimal need for support from the PM ISEF office.
