Overview
The Integrated Systems Engineering Framework (ISEF) is a set of interconnected web-tools that enable systems engineering process throughout the product lifecycle and is used to support ground vehicle programs of record. ISEF currently has a roadmapping tool that is in production. There are a few gaps in the implementation that make it difficult to use for high level DoD roadmapping activities, such as the Long-Range Investment Requirements Analysis (LIRA). Enhancements are needed that 1) Allow users to change the background that the roadmap is graphed over, 2) Overlay .jpg images anywhere on the roadmap, 3) Designate milestones using customizable icons (for example, a user-defined TRL maturation icon), and 4) Create annotation links that are straight horizontal and vertical, as opposed to the current curved links. Finally, the roadmap needs to be able to be exported to Microsoft PowerPoint as an editable object, not simply a screenshot. The Government is seeking design and development of a virtual model prototype to demonstrate technical feasibility of these enhancements in relation to the use of Army roadmaps and LIRA charts.
