Description

The event will consist of a briefing from the Government to Industry about the requirements for the Soft Kill APS. Any questions that you wish to ask, should be submitted through NAMC NLT 3:00PM  2 June 2025, so the Government can review them and provide a response either at Industry Day, or through NAMC. There will be no live Question and Answer segment in this meeting. Any follow up questions that result from the briefing should be submitted through NAMC. There will not be any one-on-one sessions as a result of this meeting.

Soft Kill APS is intended to protect Ground Combat Vehicles (GCVs) from anti-armor munitions by detecting an incoming threat, identifying the appropriate countermeasure response, and engaging/neutralizing the threat. The System must be modular, safety compliant, and expandable using open standards. Modularity requires that the System can easily integrate future sensor and countermeasure solutions that are Modular Active Framework (MAF)-compliant. Safety compliance requires rigorous design, development, testing, and producing documentation for Safety Review Board requirements to pass Safety Compliancy. Expandability requires the software and architecture to be modular and capable to expand with other systems as the MAF standard evolves.

The Government anticipates pursuing a Follow-on Production effort under the authority of 10.U.S.C. 2371b(f), which states that, upon a determination that the competitively awarded prototype project has been successfully completed, the prototype project may result in the award of a follow-on production contract or transaction without the use of competitive procedures.

NOTE:

This meeting will be held at Distribution D. This Special Notice is for informational purposes only. A prototype project will not be awarded in response to this announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to provide industry advanced notification of the Government’s intent to hold an Industry Day.
