About the Task Requests:

TR-16 | Robotic Operating System -- Military (ROS-M)

The Government intends to issue Task Request (TR) 16 for the Robotic Operating System – Military (ROS‐M) to National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC) under the Ground Vehicle Systems Other Transaction Agreement (OTA).

The intent of TR16 is for a follow‐on / continuation of TR7. The efforts for TR16 will include, but are not limited to, the development of prototype software, websites, simulations, and algorithms (including supporting artifacts) with the mission of developing a ROS‐M.

The Government does not intend to pursue a Follow‐on Production effort.

Questions re: ROS-M?

NAMC Program Manager, Forrest Allen, will coordinate this opportunity.  Please email him at Forresta@NAMConsortium.org with any questions.

TR-17 | Robotics and AI (RAI) 10X Dismounted Platoon

The current dismounted Infantry Platoon has limited Robotic and no Artificial Intelligence (AI) support to aid in decision making, situational awareness and decisive action. The Government is seeking prototype technologies that will support a dismounted Infantry Platoon with robotic and AI technologies with a goal of being 10 times (10X) more effective than the current dismounted Infantry Platoon.

In this Task Request, the Government is seeking prototype robotic technologies and Artificial Intelligence tools as follows:  robotic ground, air, water, and virtual prototype systems that increase the Infantry Platoon's lethality, mobility, protection, situational awareness, endurance, persistence, and depth.

The Government is seeking prototype AI tools that show a path to enabling Platoon leaders and Soldiers to observe, orient, decide, and act (OODA loop) faster than their current capability, with a goal of being 10X faster. The objective is that AI tools will take disparate streams of information from organic robotic and Soldier worn sensors with higher echelon mission command, intelligence, and sensors. AI tools will then weave streams of information into a coherent picture and provide that picture to soldiers.
