U.S. Government Awards Detroit Arsenal Innovation Other Transaction Agreement (DAI OTA) to NAMC

NAMC Members:

This past September, the U.S. Government awarded NAMC the Detroit Arsenal Innovation (DAI) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA). The Government chose NAMC based on the information included in our proposal, since it represented the best value based on the criteria outlined in solicitation W56HZV-23-9-D0001.

For those who don’t know, the DAI OTA provides the U.S. Government with a streamlined mechanism to support the competitive contracting process for all emerging ground mobility modernization prototyping and developmental needs. It also creates a singular prototyping OTA for Detroit Arsenal customers. To be clear, this award does not change the status of current members. Current and future NAMC Members will have access to all opportunities solicited under the new DAI OTA.

NAMC’s previous contract, the Ground Vehicle System (GVS) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) expired in September, which means it has been amended by the DAI OTA. The current award will provide all Members with access to competitive opportunities in the DAI OTA’s 15 technology areas, including:

  • Autonomy/Connectivity
  • Safety
  • Survivability
  • Light Weighting
  • Cyber Security
  • Advanced Energy Storage
  • Powertrain
  • Mobility
  • Modeling and Simulation
  • Fuels and Lubes
  • Test and Evaluation
  • Platforms
  • Architecture and Modularity
  • Petroleum and Water Systems
  • External Systems

NAMC’s strength lies within our Member organizations, and it is because of you that the defense industry continues to grow and meet the needs of the Government. The DAI OTA will provide Members and their teams with additional opportunities within the expanded technology areas listed above. This OTA also presents a wonderful chance for innovative companies, who may not yet be involved within defense, to diversify their businesses and skills.

NAMC’s diverse and quality Member base is poised to meet the needs of the DoD, Detroit Arsenal, and our Armed Forces. Our team is proud to continue our outstanding relationship with NAMC's U.S. Government customers at the Detroit Arsenal. We remain 100% dedicated to our mission to foster Member-driven innovations that ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and victory for the U.S. Military. This award will allow us to support the advancement of the most innovative ground mobility and enabling technologies for the U.S. Military’s Warfighter, all while sustaining the exceptional ‘above and beyond’ service our Customers and Members have come to expect.

If you have any questions about the DAI OTA and what it means for your organization, please do not hesitate to get in contact with our team at questions@namconsortium.org.

Regards,

Alissa Roath, Chief Executive Officer
