US Army & DARPA Event

NAMC will be speaking at the NDIA and WID hosted "Accelerating Innovation” with the US Army and DARPA event, March 21st, 2019 from 8:00am to 6:00pm ET at Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids, MI.  For more information, please see the flyer attached.

The publication Defense Blog, an online military magazine, posted an article on 3-MAR-2019 titled "U.S. Marine Corps plans to extend MTVR's service life to 2042".  

GVSETS Call for Abstracts

NDIA Michigan has put out a call for abstracts for the 11th Annual Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering and Technology Symposium (GVSETS) & Advanced Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI) will be held August 13 – 15, 2019  at the Suburban Collection Showplace - Novi, MI.  NAMC will hold a General Membership Meeting (GMM) on August 12, 2019 at the same location.
Deadline for abstracts is Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

TARDEC Name Change

Please see the below letter from Mr. Jeff Langhout, SES for the U.S. Army's Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (Formerly TARDEC) regarding the name change to align with Army's Future Command.

Innovation OuTreAch 2019

The Macomb Regional PTAC and CCDC's Ground Vehicle Systems Center Acquisition Management Office (AMO) presented nine of the leading OTA's in the defense space today.  The event was held at Macomb Community College on June 5th, 2019 and consisted of representatives from NAMC, C5, CEED, TREX, ATI (consortium manager for DOTC, VLC, Spectrum) and DATC.  Here are the slides from that event.

The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) welcomes your abstract submission for technical panel presentations and/or product demonstrations at the 2019 Robotics Capabilities Conference & Exhibition. This conference will take place at the Columbus Georgia Convention & Trade Center, April 24-25, 2019 in Columbus, GA.

Navy UAS Opportunity

The Navy needs the capability to autonomously deliver cargo with an unmanned aerial system (UAS) between shore-to-ship, ship-to-ship, and ship-to-shore. During the week of 25 March 2019, the Navy will hold a limited objective experiment to identify and evaluate solutions to address this need.

ARL Transparent Armor Project

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, on behalf of U.S. Army Research Development and Engineering Command's (RDECOM) Army Research Laboratory (ARL), intends to issue a competitive Cornerstone Initiative Request (CIR) for Transparent Armor, on or after 3 December 2018, with an estimated closing date of 10 days after issuance. The CIR for Transparent Armor is restricted to Cornerstone Consortium Members.
